Understanding The Power of the Beast

Gold, Money and the Mark of the Beast 1 Kings 10:14 “Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred three score and six talents of gold.” Daniel 2: 31-34 “Thou, o king, sawest, and behold a “great image.” This great image, whose brightness was excellent, stood before thee; an the form thereof was terrible. This image’s head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass, his legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay. Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.” The chapter goes on to explain that the head of gold belongs to the “then” current king, Nebuchadnezzar (Daniel 2:37-38). Nebuchadnezzar was later transformed into something of a “beast” to graze in the field (Daniel 4:15-16). Not only do we have a link to gold (or Money) but also to a kingdom and a beast. (For more info on Nebuchadnezzar and “idolatry see Lucifer Has Fallen.) There’s also another “image” in Daniel that’s made of golf and shares the similar characteristics with the Mark of the Beast and 666. These characteristics include the numbers six hundred and sixty as well as idolatry and punishment for those that refuse to worship the image (Revelation 13:15). Acts 17:29 For as much then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the “Godhead” is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device. However, we do know that Jesus is the image of God and God’s artistic design… John 10:8-9 “All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if nay man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.” God designed a door for our entrance into the Kingdom of God…
