Chapter:Lucifer and God’s Plan For Justice (Pages 303-305)
Rebellion first began in heaven with the archangel who has come to be known as Satan, although his original name was Lucifer. He began the rebellion by alienating a company of the angels under his leadership before he turned his attention to the human race.
Genesis 3:1-13 records how Lucifer, appearing in the form of a serpent, approached Adam and Eve, the parents of the human race, and enticed them into rebellion. In response, God pronounced a prophetic judgment on Lucifer and on the woman:
And the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, cursed are you more than all cattle, and more than every beast of the field; On your belly shall you go, and dust shall you eat all the days of your life; And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head and you shall bruise him on the heel” (nasb) (emphasis added).
This is the first instance in Scripture of direct predictive prophecy concerning future events. It focused on two persons: the descendant of the serpent and the descendant of the woman. It predicted what would become an ongoing conflict between them, with the result that the heel of the woman’s descendant would be bruised, but the head of the serpent would be crushed. Remember that God has a deep “secret plan” in which he
anticipates every crisis and has already prepared in His mind a response from long beforehand. In this case specifically we see that the woman’s descendant was revealed in history as Yeshua Ben David—Jesus, Son of David.
When we consider Lucifer’s rebellion, we see that his objective was to take the original governmental structure of God that he was familiar with and use it against God. Lucifer was the author of creating false gods and prophets…He used the Spirit of Error to manipulate individuals…This broke the Ten Commandments by which God instructed Moses to use as a system of governance…Remember, Satan was very powerful and persuasive in his ways of empowering those that chose to listen..God allowed it…But, by being the Author of ALL creation, God taught us to test the powers…You see, the power of God is beyond any power that Lucifer can give you…The Power of God reveals all…God knows Lucifer better than anyone, for he created him…
Key Note: One of the ways that Lucifer uses his power is through negative energy (spiritual attacks/fallen angels in rebellion to God)…this energy can be felt and make one very uncomfortable…This is simply understanding the invisible world…Without acknowledging it, you can get trapped (It is a terrible feeling)...You can pick up on this feeling by maintaining clarity and cleanliness…the Holy Spirit brings you peace and comfort…a feeling of safety…
2 Corinthians 1:3-5
“Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ…” (Never forget this…)
Think about how Lucifer has used his knowledge within our government to manipulate people into his hands. He has used the government and television specifically to sway the human race into seeking out other things before God. In a sense he uses television as an idol for those who have not come to know God and what He asks of us. Do not allow television to control your life. This is a very effective weapon that Lucifer has used with modern technology. Pretty sly tactic, if I say so myself. Find other ways to entertain yourself. Reading is great as long as you are mindful of what you are reading. In all regards I choose to read over television. This is not to say all television is bad, but be aware of how manipulative it can be, especially in regards to news and media.
Lucifer’s heart was lifted up in pride because of his beauty, and this was the reason that he was cast out of the mountain of God. It was God who gave Lucifer his power, his authority, his beauty, his wisdom—all those were gifts from God. Yet Lucifer’s wrong attitude turned them into instruments for his own destruction. Lucifer’s self-promoting ambition was the cause of his fall.
When we consider God’s Word and Adam, we see that as long as Adam believed and obeyed God’s Word, no evil could touch him. Nothing could take away his peace, his life, or his blessing. But the moment that he rejected God’s Word he had rejected God. One of the basic lessons in Scripture is your attitude towards God’s Word, which determines your relationship with God.
It is important to see how Satan uses deceit in so many different ways. Just keep your eyes open. Get into the Word, and you will see it all perfectly. Find a concordance/reference Bible and use it. It is not hard, so just give God a little time, and your rewards will be great.
