Leap Of Faith: Daily Lessons About Jesus Christ
Chapter: The Building of the Temple (Pages 209-211)
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Je’-sus, and by the Spirit of our God.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (kjv)
This is a lot of information to attempt to comprehend in our modern world. As we look around us, we see that there are few who have remained pure and undefiled. The reality is that we do not live in a perfect world. We are born into sin, and we are forced to learn how to deal with it. God never said it would be easy. I know how rough life can get, as I have seen many people suffer. In all cases I have the initial desire to help everyone. But, I have come to realize that I will not be able to help or change everyone. It is up to each person to find their “true self.” It is up to you to discover that amazing being of your inner self. It is up to you to start changing and transforming from the inside-out.
The heart is where it all begins. The heart is the soul, and the soul determines where we end up. You have a new life awaiting if you want it. Find that new life and allow God to transform you into that person. Man, how He wants to! It is like a rebirth into a
New World with all the past mistakes and decisions we have made forgotten. We are born again into a new life with Christ where God is always present. It is nothing short of amazing!
As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves, and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him, who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by that which every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for building up of itself in love. This I say therefore, and affirm together with the Lord, that you walk no longer just as the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind, being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart; and they, having become callous, have given themselves over to sensuality, for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness. But you did not learn Christ in this way, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus.
Ephesians 4:14-21 (nasb)
These verses sum up the entire existence of Jesus Christ. We are to grow up into all aspects of Him. We are Him, and He is us. We are all pieces of a massive foundation of a fortress or a temple that is being built where Christ dwells. How cool it is to know that you are a vital piece of that foundation and structure of the temple that will never cease to exist—the temple that not all will see but only those who are reborn and have given their lives to Christ. This is the secret to the Revelation.
And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each one of the gates was a single pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass. And I saw no temple in it, for
the Lord God, the Almighty, and the Lamb are its temple. And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine upon it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb.
Revelation 21:21-23 (nasb)
You are the pieces of the puzzle. You are the city of God. In all of your efforts, study, and prayer you have built the temple. With the help of God, you have designed the Temple of God to be just the way that it needs to be, and now you have a foundation (New Covenant) that cannot be shaken or destroyed. The Angels (Including the Ones that have to remove the worst types of evil in the world) All protect this Holy Temple and you are the foundation stones. How honored God and the Lamb must be when they see you in your works and your efforts to establish God for all eternity. He sees you. He knows you. He loves you. You do not have to explain to God. He already understands you.
Blessings to you…You have a home with God…
