The Mystery of the Dead Sea Scrolls

The Sword of The Spirit: The Sound of Many Waters

Chapter: The Dead Sea Scrolls (Pages 87-88)

To clear up the discrepancy as to why the dead sea scrolls are not included in the Bible is to understand perfection and God. There is a reason why the Bible contains 66 books. There is a reason that God, who wrote the Revelation through John, warns us never to take away or add to the words of His prophecy.

Know that God is the Author of Revelation.

The Dead Sea Scrolls are an unknown number of ancient Jewish texts discovered near the Dead Sea beginning in 1947. They were preserved by a group of people who did not accept Jesus’ call to “repent” and “believe” the “good news” (Mark 1:15)…

Despite exceptional claims, the scrolls do not contain any references to Jesus Christ and His Disciples. The value that has been given to them is based upon the help that they provide in their effort to reconstruct the world of Jesus since they provide an important window into the world of Jewish-Palestine of the first century BC and first century AD.

The basis for the scrolls is that they have contributed to Biblical scholarship in a few different fields: 1) the study of ancient writing and making of books/scrolls 2) textual criticism of the OT 3) linguistic studies in Hebrew and Aramaic 4) apocryphal and pseudepigraphal studies 5) the study of sects and groups, particularly the Essenes, with Palestinian  Jewry 6) ancient methods of biblical interpretation 7) intertestamental history  8) first-century doctrines  and religious ideas and 9) NT background studies…

The fact is that the account of Jesus threatens Judaism, and the second, Trinitarian Christianity. By confirming the priesthood or prophethood of Jesus and his ministry (being humble enough to refer to himself as the son of man), this would threaten Israel’s national identity. On a different note, many believe that Paul is the “Wicked Priest”mentioned in the Dead Sea Scrolls. This would expose Paul as a corrupter of the teachings of Jesus which would stir the account of Trinitarian Christianity: Catholic, Orthodox, and Protestant churches alike. The basis for much of the teachings of Paul are directed towards teaching people about the nature of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (The Holy Trinity).

Acts 11:19-21

“Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the Word to none but the Jews only. And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus. And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.”

Acts 17:30-31 (Paul)

“And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to Repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath Ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead (The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit)…”

1 Corinthians 1:8-10 (Paul)

“Who shall also confirm you unto the End, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment…”

The thorn in Paul’s flesh is something of critical importance to be recognized…

2 Corinthians 12:6-7 (Paul)

“For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the Truth: but not I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me. And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure…”

  • God understands this thorn in the flesh to be a messenger of Satan who would antagonize, doubt, and attempt to distort the Truth of the Son of God and Paul’s dialogue with God...Perhaps, Jesus went through the same type of tribulation in all of the revelations given to him by his Father…the briar or thorn could have been Lucifer…(a constant distraction from his focus and an accuser)…Even though we do not know a great deal about Jesus and Paul’s encounters, we do know that Paul was a man who preached Jesus and gave forewarnings about the Son of God…(and possibly in another lifetime, information about Biblical Prophecy and specific training to the Son in identifying the works of Satan…)

The mass amount of dead sea scrolls can be compared to deadwood if they bring about doubt and confusion and direct the focus away from Jesus Christ the Messiah. As you begin to understand the meaning of this you begin to understand God’s identity. God does not condone creating doubt or false testimony, especially in regards to His Son…

The dead sea scrolls allow for confusion and doubt. God allows

for truth and discernment.

The simplicity of the Bible is perfection. The simplicity is only the beginning of understanding God. Just as a new-born babe. The deep understanding of God is where we begin to understand the Kingdom of God and his language.

The key to understanding the foundation of the city of God lies within the Word of God.  God has placed His Seal upon the Word of God, who is Jesus Christ.

You see, according to the Book of Revelation, the city lies 4 square…

Squaring the circle was a problem proposed by ancient geometers.

(Hidden Truth): “Squaring the circle is a problem proposed by ancient geometers. It is the challenge of constructing a square with the same area as a given circle by using only a finite number of steps with compass and straightedge. It may be taken to ask whether specified axioms of Euclidean geometry concerning the existence of lines and circles entail the existence of such a square.

In 1882 (Dates and Numerology), the task was proven to be impossible, as a consequence of the Lindemann–Weierstrass theorem which proves that pi (π) is a transcendental, rather than an algebraic irrational number; that is, it is not the root of any polynomial with rational coefficients. It had been known for some decades before then that the construction would be impossible if pi were transcendental, but pi was not proven transcendental until 1882. Approximate squaring to any given non-perfect accuracy, in contrast, is possible in a finite number of steps, since there are rational numbers arbitrarily close to π.

The expression “squaring the circle” is sometimes used as a metaphor for trying to do the impossible.[1]

The term quadrature of the circle is sometimes used to mean the same thing as squaring the circle, but it may also refer to approximate or numerical methods for finding the area of a circle.”

God is able to achieve the impossible…

The Seal of God has 12 parts and the throne is in the center, otherwise known as the New Jerusalem.

This is another clue as to the seriousness of God in regards to His forewarning and truth.

All other “Revelations” such as the Quran that take away (Cause Doubt or Disbelief) or add to the Holy Bible and The Revelation of Jesus Christ are not of God.

Studying ancient artifacts is important to understanding history, but verifying your sources is critical to gaining True Insight…

Be mindful of this sincere fact.

Revelation 22:18-19 “I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God shall add to him the plagues which are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book.”

No one is responsible for making you believe. No one can change you. You make the change within yourself. You are responsible to God for seeking out the truth…
