Truth Revealed By God
Chapter: Lamb of God (Pages 166-170)
READ John 2:19-22. “All right,” Jesus replied. “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” “What!” they exclaimed. “It has taken forty-six years to build this Temple, and you can rebuild it in three days?” But when Jesus said “this temple,” he meant his own body. After he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered he had said this, and they believed both the Scriptures and what Jesus had said (J. NLT).
READ 1 Peter 2:4-6. You are coming to Christ, who is the living cornerstone of God’s temple. He was rejected by people, but he was chosen by God for great honor. And you are living stones that God is building into his spiritual temple. What’s more, you are his holy priests. Through the mediation of Jesus Christ, you offer spiritual sacrifices that please God. As the Scriptures say, “I am placing a corner- stone in Jerusalem, chosen for great honor, and anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced” (J. NLT).
READ Isaiah 40:18-19. To whom can you compare God? What image can you find to resemble him? Can he be compared to an idol formed in a mold, overlaid with gold, and dec- orated with silver chains? (J. NLT)
READ Isaiah 40:26. Look up into the heavens. Who created all the stars? He brings them out like an army, one after another, calling each by its name. Because of his great power and incomparable strength, not a single one is missing (J. NLT).
READ Proverbs 23:7. For as he thinks within himself, so he is… (J. NLT).
This scripture identifies that Jesus is the Holy Temple that we are to enter into, in order to have safety and peace. We should put our focus on being a part of this temple and meditating in Christ’s body. We are not to pollute the temple or bring any wickedness into the temple. For in the moment that any person tries to enter the temple that is unholy or evil, the Angels of the Lord will prevent them from entering. This is how it will be in the end of days. There will be no person that God sees to be unworthy to enter the temple. For we are all to be living stones and part of the building of the temple. For Christ is the chief cornerstone and the key to the foundation of the temple.
Through God’s artistic design, we see this picture of the temple that God has built for His dwelling. It is our choice, and free will, to put our trust in Jesus. His revelation will be known to the believers first and then to all of the world without God, following the Rapture of the church. This is when God will place His judgment upon the whole entire world. For there is no image, statue, or idol that compares to the image of the Living God. All of the stars in the sky may also be recognized as Angels in the heavens watching over us. In the End, there will be Legions of Angels who have been sent to protect those who have been Raptured, “Harpazo”, and the Holy Temple of God, which is Jesus Christ.
