Leap of Faith: Daily Lessons About Jesus Christ
Chapter: Black and White: Bringing Worlds Together (Pages 163-165)
The key to living in full is treating every individual the same. Each person in the world is entitled to equality of rights. The problem is that for so long now many people have been taken advantage of and have not been entitled to equal opportunity.
The goal of a leader is to be one that strives for justice and equal opportunity. God teaches us that all peoples are equal. God tells us that we are all of one united body of God. We are all to seek out the truth and discover our true family.
There will be no division among races and no judgment placed upon anyone for the color of their skin. To see people placing judgment on others according to their race is flat-out disgraceful. Different races and ethnic backgrounds are what make the world interesting and allows for us to learn and grow. Without races what a boring world we would live in.
I desire to see worlds come together. I want to see people come together. I want to see equality of rights and justice for all. I am tired of this black and white issue. I am tired of seeing judgment due to race. It is not about race. How would you know Jesus from the black American homeless man on the street asking for a dollar to buy a meal? How would you recognize Jesus? Do you truly live the Christian life, or are you a hypocrite?
The goal is to bring different minds together and to bring races together as one. We are all the same in God’s eyes, and the dream will come true. The dream of Martin Luther King Jr. will be one that is forever carried on and that people understand is part of God’s plan. God intended for all people to have fair and equal opportunity. It is our job to make sure that it happens within our society. If you instill this truth into the mindset of the country, then you will see amazing results. I want to see every person have a chance at living their dream and being successful, at all costs.
Understand that there is enough judgment in the world. We need to change that sad reality. If you understand Jesus, then you know that he desires for your life to be easier and more enjoyable…There is always a solution. Who do you think you are by judging someone according to the color of their skin? What entitles you to making that decision? Do not attempt to think you know the first thing about people or what they have been through. The first move at all times is to put yourself into that persons shoes and then to evaluate the situation.
Bringing minds together in a cumulative way to sort out these problems should be one of the most critical goals within our political system and government. We need to make the adjustments to appoint educated people of all races to come together to discover real solutions.
I want to see the racial judgment come to a complete end.
What does the United States Constitution outline from a biblical standpoint?
“We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.” The Key: (Faith, Hope, and Love)…
I want to reiterate the importance of this scripture:
Galatians 3:28 says, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female (God sees man and woman the same. But does demand that a husband be head of the household, just as Jesus is the head of the body of Christ) for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”
As a leader this is to be at the heart of all our decisions. By ignoring this, you are acting against God’s will. Be careful not to question God’s authority. Remember that God rewards all of those who seek Him.
God intended for it to be a matter of allowing each person to demonstrate their own personal inner gifts and qualities. He has given each person a gift of choice of what you want to do with your life. This entitles us to do anything we want through the Holy Spirit. Do not take this statement lightly. You have the gifts. It is your decision as to whether you choose to discover them. Don’t make up excuses…God makes it easy for you…
All people are equal in my book. Being humble and confident gets you to where you need to be. Lose the arrogance. It is not cool, and I can promise you that it will not get you far. An egotistical mindset is a dead-end road. If you have been successful, you should figure out a way to help people. That is part of your job. God demands that we strive to help out the needy, whether it be by giving or serving. (Better yet, discovering ways to do away with the Old and put the New in place…)
Deuteronomy 15:11 (nasb) says, “For the poor will never cease to be in the land; therefore I command you, saying, ‘You shall freely open your hand to your brother, to your needy and poor in your land.’”
“When therefore you give alms, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be honored by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing that your alms may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will repay you.”
Matthew 6:2-4 (nasb)
When you give to the needy, be sure to give from the heart and not for reasons of public display. There is no reward for giving if it is to increase your perception by the public. Helping by serving is the true way to demonstrate giving and helping the needy.
Jesus gives the water of life without cost…He anoints you and seals you so that you become a part of Him…
Let us put this into action.
Help us to bring worlds together.
