The Light of Man

Leap of Faith: Daily Lessons About Jesus Christ

Chapter: The Light of Man (Pages 21-23)

All men and women have the opportunity to seek out the truth, which God places in your heart. In Jesus’s life he learns how to study God’s Word. God’s Word is what opens all the doors to the life of Christ. The life of Jesus was one that over the course of time demanded learning about the morning star. Jesus, as every man, learns to discover that morning star and to allow God to shine His light into the heart of His Son in order that He would become the king that the world had awaited for so long. This is important to all humankind in knowing that you are all ministers and priests in God’s kingdom. Each person has a morning star waiting to be revealed, if you will only take the time to discover that light.

“The light shone in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.” This is the example of the light that Jesus brings to the world. The light that leads, guides, and directs the path of man. This light is to be our house and our law that we are to live by, according to God’s order.

As a nation we have been called by God to change all things according to God’s order. We are to adhere to God’s order first before all else. We are to seek to create a society that does not rely on human wisdom but God’s wisdom as the foundation for our success.

For we did not follow cleverly devised tales when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty. For when He received honor and glory from God the Father, such an utterance as this was made to Him by the Majestic Glory, “This is My beloved Son with whom I am well-pleased and we ourselves heard this utterance made from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain. And so we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts.”

2 Peter 1:16-19 (nasb) (emphasis added)

The morning star is the moving of the Holy Spirit in a person’s heart. The moving of the Holy Spirit demands that we write out our experience with God on a personal level and spread the word of truth as the spirit has guided us.

In the early childhood of Jesus (which is a mystery…), he encountered everything natural that any man coming into the earth would experience. He had to in order to know man. He survived many situations in which he was surrounded by wolves that wished to devour him. Jesus was led into many disastrous situations where evil was all around him, and his training was learning how to handle the pressure and to become the divine being that God sent Him to the world to be. Jesus had to learn how to become the morning star, which is where we begin to understand the mystery behind the Holy Trinity.

The mystery behind the Trinity is that God has come into the world and dwells among us. He has been standing by as Jesus has walked through His life and allowed His Son to make His own decisions, as any man. Then would come the day that He and His Father would become one in union, and the Holy Spirit would arise in the heart of Christ, and He would transform into the bright morning star and be seen in His perfect spiritual nature on the day of completion, the seventh day of the week in God’s order, which is Sunday.

This is the secret to seeing Jesus in the spiritual nature and perceiving the Holy Spirit and understanding the Trinity.

The Holy Spirit is the bright morning star, symbolized by the sun in much of ancient history, the brightest star in our universe. The spiritual nature of light is a big piece of God’s order. The spiritual nature of the sun is also a big piece of God’s order. The sun brings light, which brings growth to all flowers, trees, and all of nature. The Holy Spirit is the same in that it brings life to all of mankind. This is a simple way to communicate and compare the truth behind the brilliance of the spirit and nature as one. This is God’s design.

As a human race we need the light of the Holy Spirit to grow into immortal beings with God, and as a world we need the sun to cast its light onto the earth in order for us to survive. However, recall what the Bible says in reference to the sun in the book of Revelation.

Revelation 21:22-23 (nasb) says, “And I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God, the Almighty, and the Lamb, are its temple. And the city has no need of the sun or the moon to shine upon it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb.”

Let us adhere to this forewarning by God. God makes it clear that a time will come when the sun will no longer be the brightest star, but God’s Son will shine His light, and those who are lost will not see the light of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the Beginning and the End; nothing else will matter when it is all over, in the End…
