The Symbolic Nature of the Cross

The Symbolic Nature of the Cross

The Sword of the Spirit: The Sound of Many Waters

Chapter: Perception-The Double Cross (Pages 315-318)

There is no nation which shall survive without the Cross of Christ as the symbol by which we stand. Once again, being mindful of symbols is a priority that must not be forgotten or taken for granted. As a nation, we are in danger of losing what binds us together and provides strength to overcome our adversaries. By willing to be free from God, we are in danger of being enslaved to a symbol that is not of Christ. Just as the Double Cross, the Swastika, the hammer and sickle, or a star that could represent a direct reflection of rebellion to God’s commandments. Recall history and reflect onto our current circumstances. Are we living in times where the cross is to be forgotten? Are we living in times when the nation is making a mockery of God?

The spirit of the modern world has been set with a determination to escape the cross and forget about Christ. What the world ought to be considering and fearing is a time when we are represented by a cross made of guns, hammers, sickles, and bombs. Has the symbol that began as the cross been defeated in an attempt to double cross the world?

May a democracy of ease and comfort overcome a system built upon sacrifices? Sacrificial love is the stronghold that provides for us to remain entact and to grow according to God’s will and His time…

The rise of militarism has been at the core of our problems and challenges. The modern world has become a vacuum created by the abandonment of the cross. The virtues instilled by Christianity consist of obedience to proper authority (founded by God), self discipline, penance, and the need for redemption. But as time has passed we have seen fewer people adhere to God’s desire to thrive upon the feeding of oneself by the Bread of Life, which comes from the Word of God.

Are we becoming endowed to a country that no longer supports the Cross, committed to the human condition of endowment to the high degree of virtues of obedience, sacrifice, and dedication to a country that is no longer seeking God?

Where might we begin to achieve a state of consistency where we have more discipline, more respect, more sacrifice, and stronger morality? This will only be attained by instilling more truth into the hearts and minds of our educational programs and within families across the country. This may not be achieved by increased militarism or false religion. This will not be accomplished by the standard of the Double Cross. This will only increase the chances for individual existence without moral responsibility as well as economics and politics without subservience to God.

We are to bear the Sword of the Spirit, which pierces inwards to remove our own selfish pride, in order that we may not pierce the heart of Christ before we discover His Divinity and Salvation.

Let us do away with all the propagandists and educators who promote the idea that we need no cross, for this is the work of deception and evil.

Does mankind understand the Power of God? Does mankind doubt the existence of His Son? Has He not already proven Himself worthy, having been put to death, and resurrected in the Holy Spirit?

You see, man had already recognized that He saved others…They knew the truth yet they despised what He had done in fulfilling His Father’s promise.

How could any man save himself who saves another? Just as the rain cannot save itself, if it is to be the bud of the greenery; or just as the Sun cannot save itself if it is the light of the world; or just as the seed cannot save itself if it is to make the harvest; or just as a soldier cannot save himself if he is to save his country; These are all ways that we may begin to understand the sacrifice of Christ and the Heart of God.

God does not allow for peace for those who are destined for war. For this is deception and far away from God’s desire.

Ephesians 6:10-13

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His Mighty Power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.”

As a nation may we never allow our adversary to snatch away the torch of sacrifice from the hands of those who should hold it, and may the Cross always remain, standing firm in perfect wisdom.

As Saints, we are to recognize the attempts by the evil one to breath evil onto those that are of Christ, which may out dare those animated by the Cross of Christ. Do not be afraid of that spirit, but overcome and command the evil spirit to flee, by means of the Sword of the Holy Spirit.

We live in a modern world where our fears lie in causes for Communism, Socialism, Nazism, and Fascism that burn downwards, and are more intense than the fires that burn upwards into the hearts of those who only pay lip service to God.

The hope of the world will remain to be found in the Cross of Christ, as it has borne down the ages in the hearts of suffering men, women, and children, who if we only recognized it, are saving us from the double cross more than our guns and ships.

May history not be long forgotten, and may the Sword of the Spirit fill you with the promise of the Word of God, and His Son…
