How Do We Pray?

Leap of Faith: Daily Lessons About Jesus Christ

Chapter: Prayer (Pages 121-126)

As a loyal witness to the risen Christ and the truth that God intends to be communicated to humankind, I stand firm in my conviction and my truth, having been brought to life once again into a new world with problems to be addressed. For so long now, God has witnessed the lack of perseverance and dedication to praying in a way pleasing to Him, which brings us enlightenment, knowledge, and understanding… Much of the world has been distracted and has pursued different routes of prayer that have driven God’s people away from Him.

This is part of prophecy being fulfilled, and in order that we should be able to get it straight…We need to adhere to the words of Christ being spoken (perhaps by John) as a loyal witness. I stand firm in my testimony and my truth, which I know has come from God My Father.

Daily bread is one area that we see society lacking. I believe that the reason that society has pushed Christianity away is due the misrepresentation by some churches and some individuals. Saying one thing and doing another… Pay attention to the Revelation of Jesus Christ. I want to be clear in communicating that as a man or a woman on this earth and attempting to live a life dedicated to Christ, we have chosen to take the road less travelled.

Jesus is aware of all the problems and the areas in America and the entire world that need to be addressed. The problem that Jesus sees is that the United States is backwards from where it needs to be. There is no direct source of Him and his opportunity for discussions to address key topics of major concern…From a law standpoint, we need to see the basic principles of morality implemented into our law and Constitution. Amendments need to be made according to His Word.

As children we are asked to listen to the words of God. I listen to God, but in many cases God speaks to us in many different ways…The litte details help us to understand him…Jesus is a humble servant just as you are to God. He has come to serve and to inform the world of what needs to take place in order for humanity to be saved.

To be clear, true prayer comes from reading the words of Christ. Many times we do not have the words, and many times we need to know how we should pray. I know this from my own personal struggles and experiences over the course of my life.

When we reflect on the Bible and the Lord’s Prayer, we should acknowledge this as a foundation for the context of our prayer.

Our prayers should be not only asking for God to give us what we need and expecting Him to do it all for us; we need to know that God often answers prayers in ways that we cannot fully understand or comprehend. Many times I have prayed for help in various situations and have not received the answers that I believed that I deserved or expected. As children of God, we must remember that God will give us the direction that we need, but it is your responsibility to read and to write. That is your dialogue with your heavenly Father. You have been called by God to express your ideas, and God will reward you in full.

Write out your testimony (That is your most valuable possession-It saves you…), and keep a journal of your experiences in your life. Write your story, and apply God into your life. He will give you the direction and the words if you will only make the effort. Move toward a conversation with God in which you have a dialogue that you may pass on to future generations to come in which they may learn of your journey and walk with Christ.

“Most gracious heavenly Father, I stand here as a man who seeks to be your son. I stand here in awe of your creation and ask that you will teach me how to make a difference in the lives of those around me. I ask that you fill me with your strength, your perseverance, your light, and your wisdom in order that I may walk according to your ways. I ask that your Spirit may guide me into ways that are pleasing in your sight.

I study your Word and know that you will continue to build me up into a man who will communicate your message to those who may be dead in spirit. I ask that you surround me with your light, the True Light that comes into the world and enlightens every man. I ask that you help me to discover my true gifts that will allow me to shine and to prosper.

I dedicate my heart and soul to the one true God and creator of all things. To Him be the glory. I know that your kingdom is a hidden treasure, and I pray for all of those who are hurting, lost, sick, blinded, disabled and those without understanding that they may come to know your grace and glory, which surpasses all human understanding.

Help me to know your ways. Help me to know the words to speak. I trust you in all that I do and know that your Holy Spirit will guide me into eternal salvation.Teach me as a father teaches his son. I hand my life over to you and trust in you in all things. Amen.”

We need to be clear about addressing prayer in the United States of America. Schools are to be focused and centered on faith and cultural sensitivity. Our schools are failing to teach the meaning of life and failing to allow for students to learn true wisdom. What is true wisdom? True wisdom comes from God. It does not come from human explanation or theory. The things that we cannot understand are made clear through our relationship with God. God helps us to understand the truth behind all things, including the brilliance behind the Trinity. The Trinity is the foundation of the church and the Temple of God. The true church is built around the Trinity, and this is the way, the truth, and the life. The book of Revelation makes this clear and helps us to understand the state that many churches and many countries currently face.

The question that Jesus has for the world is: “Why have you not worked towards instilling God’s law into countries around the world? Why have the Ten Commandments been disregarded? Why do you seek out false teachers and religions?” It is the hope of God through His Son Jesus that you will come to understand the fulfillment of the law, which Jesus is bringing to us.

This fulfillment of the law demands a radical systematic change as to what the United States represents. Jesus sees that the United States is no longer a Christian nation and that the rulers, principalities, and powers that be have written out their own laws in order to rationalize human behavior. This is simply due to greed and desire for people to remain in control. This control will change, and in order to restore society, we will make new laws and regulations. These new laws and regulations will be based on Christian morality. Christian morality is the beginning and the end of the argument. Our world begins and ends with the Lamb as the foundation for our existence here on earth.

A house is to be built around the Lamb of God through Christ.

The trials that I have faced and face each day are due to God forming me into the man who He needs me to be. The trials that I must endure are in order to have all things in my life perfected into a state that will last for all of eternity. We must know that eternity is very real, and living in a state pleasing to God should be our number one priority. I have faced many trials, and I now know that it as been out of my control. I am no longer here to be a pleaser, as I have done for most of my life until now… I have to take care of myself first, and then all things that God has planned will be revealed. My focus relies upon the secrets that God has yet to reveal to me in fulfilling His future plan completed in full for me…

This is where I can find closure to all matters, and this is where I can make sense of all things. Even in the most difficult of circumstances where I cannot find any understanding to the reasons for events that take place, I am able to find hope in knowing that God can heal. God is able to do all things, and I find my hope in what I desire to be in His hands. I will walk with Him until the end. He is my guide and my protection. He is the truth, and His plan is one that will be revealed when He decides to act. He is in control.

I firmly believe that my plan has a very exciting ending, but it has not been easy. I know that God is going to make it happen and that I cannot rush it or force it myself. When it comes to love, this is the hardest obstacle and tendency to overcome. I have never felt anything like it, and I do not think I ever will again. I put my hope in God and ask Him to help out.

Even in the most disheartening times, we have to move on and keep fighting the good fight. We have to allow God to open new doors and lead us into a place where we find complete happiness and joy with those who have chosen to serve with us. The people who God places in our lives that we are able to have deep discussions with, and who find common ground have been placed in our lives for a reason. I know that everything happens for a reason, and we learn from our mistakes. We live and we learn. I know how I feel, and I know that my heart belongs to Him, it always has… He corrects me when I am wrong, and He gives me strength when I am weak. He gives me reassurance that even when we experience what feels like the worst of circumstances, we find peace and hope through Him. He saves us from those who attempt to take advantage of us, and he helps us to discern all things. I cannot understand all hearts but I can listen to your struggles… I do know that there is one person who knows my heart, and that is God the Father.

I pray for His help in answering my prayers. I pray that He does not allow anything to happen to those whom I love and that have had such a significant impact upon my life. I pray that He takes care of those people and leads them into ways of truth and righteousness. I pray that He will heal those who I see hurting and looking for answers. I pray that He allows that person who is working on finding their identity to discover it in order to be complete and happy. I pray that He fills their life with joy and truth. I pray that He helps me to be patient and strong. I pray that he helps me when I am broken down and that He gives me the reassurance that everything will work out. I am putting full trust in Him and asking with all my heart that He will help out where needed. I pray that He will help me to understand and teach me how to handle anything that I may face in the future. I need to know how to handle disappointment. Disappointment is one of the worst feelings that I have encountered thus far….I pray that all of this love that I bear can be shared in ways pleasing to Him.

“Most gracious heavenly Father, I need your guidance and determination to continue on in my walk. I need you to fill me with your strength to make it to the End. I cannot do it on my own. May your Holy Spirit continue to be my guide and my source of understanding. Amen.”

James 1:2-3 (nasb) says, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.”
