Leap Of Faith: Daily Lessons About Jesus Christ
Chapter: Choose Life (Pages 153-155)
“See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, and death and adversity; in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, that you may live and multiply, and that the Lord your God may bless you in the land where you are entering to possess it. But if your heart turns away and you will not obey, but are drawn to other gods and serve them, I declare to you today that you shall surely perish. You shall not prolong your days in the land where you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess it. I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants, by loving the Lord your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding fast to Him; for this is your life and the length of your days, that you may live in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”
Deuteronomy 30:15-20 (nasb)
Preserving life is one of the biggest issues that we face as a world. The one concept that we need to focus upon is that life is precious. Life is something that we all have taken for granted at some point in our lives. Life is meant to be cherished and embraced. We are meant to live life to the fullest. We are meant to enjoy our lives and our families. We are meant to encourage leadership principles into the minds of our children. We are meant to take the opportunity to have an impact on the lives of one another for the better.
It is part of our job to love one another and to help each other grow. We are meant to love God and demonstrate that love at all times. I can honestly say that God hates evil. Being a Christian and standing by as evil acts go on is one of the hardest obstacles that I have ever had to face. In my heart I want to change it all. In my heart I want to do everything in my power to ensure that we live in a safe world. In my heart I want to seek out protection for the lives of the people in the world.
One sad reality that I have come to know is that the world and the masses hate good. The world can be very disheartening at times due to the vast amount of lost individuals. I just hope that one day we will live in a world where evil ceases to exist. I the day that all evil will come to an end and we will all live in harmony. I await the day that all will see the truth behind the Bible, Jesus…
I cannot bear to see people manipulating others. I cannot stand to see evil people attempting to tear down the good people. Why does this take place? Why do people attack faith? Why have Christians been persecuted? This is something to seriously take into consideration. Remember, it is not our place to do anything aggressive to change the situation. That would be the completely wrong move. Our job is to inform people and use our understanding as well as enlightenment to educate people on the dynamics of the situation. We can only voice our opinion, and you have the right to do so. God is always in control. Always be cool. Never be the aggressor or use violence as a solution to any problem.
Revelation 21:4 (nasb) says, “And He shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there shall no longer be any death; there shall no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.”
“Truly I say to you, all sins shall be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they utter; but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin”- because they were saying, “He has an unclean spirit.” And His mother and His brothers arrived, and standing outside they sent word to Him, and called Him. And a multitude was sitting around Him, and they said to Him, “Behold, Your mother and Your brothers are outside looking for You. And answering them, “He said, “Who are My mother and My brothers?” And looking about on those who were sitting around Him, He said, “Behold, My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of God, he is My brother and sister and mother.”
Mark 3:28-35 (nasb) (emphasis added)
Respect, fairness, civility, responsibility, faith, and love. This is what we need to see more of in the minds of our younger generations. We do not need to see children that feel let down due to lack of these characteristics and qualities. I believe that many children feel let down due to lack of responsible adults.
