Leap of Faith: Daily Lessons About Jesus Christ
Chapter: Seven Days of Focus (Pages 249-253)
If you are not believing in the truth that God has attempted to communicate to you, I do not have the answers for you. This is not an attempt to make a profit from a material stand point but an honest attempt to allow you to know that by taking the leap of faith and seeking to understand how to live with Christ as your Savior you might know what it means to reign with Him for a thousand years. Even if it might be on a remote island in the middle of nowhere. Can you only imagine the doors of opportunity that will be opened by taking the first initial step in seeking God? Have you crossed that bridge yet with God as your guide? The possibilities are endless. There is no door that He cannot open. Know that Satan’s reign has come to an end. Overlook his distractions and attempts to confuse. See the path that leads to eternal salvation. Believe in Christ and know that He will be alongside you all the way. If Christ is with you, who can be against you? No one!
Note that this is a non-negotiable agreement between God and man. It is all or nothing with God. He demands that we respect Him and His law is summarized in love. Trust Him.
Know that as men of God we are not to lead anyone astray, but we are to attempt to lead the lost into the truth. By striving to lead the lost to the path that very few have found, your rewards will be much greater in heaven. This is the path that might lead to somewhere that you cannot understand or comprehend, but for those who follow the Bible in all its truth it reveals perfection.
Why not take the chance if all the indicators are there? What is it that does not make sense? God requires no money or material value from you…nor does he number you or attempt to control you by taking away your freedom..He simply gives you a choice, if we seize the opportunity we are rewarded, but if we choose a different direction, He will step back away from us…Draw near to God and He will draw near to you…
Proverbs 3:5-7 (nasb) says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and turn away from evil” (emphasis added).
Can you imagine the rewards that God has in store for you by taking a chance in finding His Son?
Can you imagine the true joy and peace that God has in store for those of you who have longed to see Him? Can you imagine the love and hope that God has in store for those of you who have chosen Jesus Christ as your Savior, in His resurrected perfect state?
How can we find the treasure map that leads us to the place, heaven, where we will no longer have any worry? Well, the answer is that it is it can only be located through the words written in the Bible from the beginning of all creation, and the testimony of Jesus. Those words were all written for a very important reason. Have you figured out how to apply them into a course yet? Have you used the compass that God gave you? Find the narrow, winding path that leads to a place that God has chosen for you. This is a place that holds the key to all your questions and doubts. This place is called the living Word of God.
The place that I am referring to is one that has not been broadcasted for all to know, but it is one that shall be known to those who are children of God. It could very well be a place in the middle of nowhere that no one knows about… It could be purely concealed and invisible to those who have pursued the ways of evil. Your eyes cannot not be opened until you have undergone a change of heart. Remember the Temple of God will be illuminated with the light of the Lamb. There will be no temple, for God’s Son is the Temple…
Revelation 21:22 (nasb) says, “And I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God the Almighty, and the Lamb, are its temple.”
This will all come full circle soon enough for those who have chosen wisely. For those who have chosen out of self-indulgence and conceit it will not be perceivable. Find true wisdom and you shall find God.
Seven days of pure focus in the Word will be a powerful tool in order for those who may be lost and blind to see the truth and God’s sharp revelation. Can you maintain a sober mindset for seven days? Can you maintain seven days of absolute purity and devotion to God in order for a chance to see the truth? If God asked you to do this, would you? Or could you?
Do you believe that Jesus Christ would ever lead you astray?
“For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps, Who committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in His mouth; and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously; and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.”
1 Peter 2:21-24 (nasb) (emphasis added)
Remember when Jesus came for the first time He was the slain Lamb, but He is coming again as a king and a Savior to lead the way to the place where He and His Father await those who have chosen to know them. The kingdom of God is like a house of life for those that wish to go there.
A Father’s justice is one that is to be executed according to His command.
Will you take the path less travelled, or will you remain among the lost? Have you figured it out yet? Could you pass the test if God were to give you one? Could you pass the final exam if the World were to End?
Those who have taken the time and spent their efforts in studying for the most important test will pass it with flying colors, but those who have rejected the direction given by God will surely not.
I believe that fair warning has been given and that God has been clear. God has continued to demonstrate his Truth even though he has been cursed and ridiculed. He has heard all of the malicious talk…He hopes that all might find their way down the road to a place of peace and tranquility where all the answers may be found.
You make your decision. Can you pass the star test?
“And he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb, in the middle of its street. And on either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.”
Revelation 22:1-2 (nasb) (emphasis added)
Galatians 5:22-23 (nasb) says, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law” (emphasis added).
The fruits described in Revelation are similar to the fruits of the Spirit that will be necessary to heal all peoples. Remember we have not heard about the tree of life since Genesis 3, where Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden. With these fruits we see that paradise is restored in the eternal state. All that was once lost is now redeemed by the Lamb. This tree will bear twelve kinds of fruit from every month suggesting the infinite variety that will fill heaven. I believe that the description of the tree is that of a man,
the Lamb of God to be exact, which bears the qualities necessary to heal all peoples of all nations. Most trees are made from wood, but this particular tree will be Jesus Christ in his perfected state. His trunk will be secure and the fruit plentiful.
The picture of eternity indicates that we will be serving God for all eternity. This eternity will include serving Him and reigning with Him. Being an infinite God, we will have infinite activities to do as we reign forever in His presence. All shall see His face, and as believers all will be granted an audience with the King of Heaven on a regular basis.
In the New Jerusalem we see that the river was clear as crystal so that it may reflect the glory of God as it cascades down from the throne of God and the Lamb. Pay attention to the signs.
