Holy War: End of Days

Leap of Faith: Daily Lessons About Jesus Christ

Chapter: Holy War/True Hope for America (Pages 403-405)

Let this be clear. In the times which we are currently facing, our war it not against flesh and blood but against rulers, principalities, and the powers that be. Our current leadership revolves around a mindset that people can get away with whatever they desire as long as they remain in control. Your job, as informed citizens, is to make a change in leadership from a moral standpoint. Your choice should be focused on faith and the morality of a person. This should be the central aspect in the heart of good leadership.

Do not be fooled. Your job is to recognize the battle that we are currently facing, which is the persecution that is taking place around the world. Christianity is the foundation of all creation. Have you read the history of the Bible? Are you educated from a biblical standpoint? Do you know the difference between Islam and Christianity?

Our current system revolves around Islamic values. This is nothing new, but it is going to change. The public is going to be informed of the radical deception that has been taking place for some time now. This is not a game anymore, and the truth must be told. Have you thought for a minute about the heart of our elected officials? Have you asked them what they believe and why they believe it? How does religion play a role into decision-making? It is a major part, huge! Have you heard any testimonies? Remember this: your testimony is your most powerful tool and the key to discerning all things. Your saving grace, just like Jesus’ testimony…Make sure that you speak your truth, as it is your right to do so. Do not live in fear. If God is with you, who can be against you?

A vast majority of the powers that be have abused their roles as leaders. They play both sides, and deceit is at the heart of many agenda-based scenarios. You be sure to study and read in order to discern all things. Have you taken time to do so? How often do you live by the daily bread of the Word of God? What is the daily bread or the Hidden Manna that comes from Heaven? This is the most powerful tool to be used to win the holy war that is all around us. You use the wisdom and knowledge from God to put yourself in the right circumstances and to fight the good fight, and to be on God’s side. You use the discernment from God to know who to surround yourself with at all times. You do your best to put yourself in situations that help you to grow spiritually and not to bring you down or to give you a feeling of being crucuified…Or to remind you of your mistakes and suffering in life…You are not to dwell on your “old self” but present your “new self” and write out your lessons that will encourage and empower others…

Do not allow what you do not know to win you over. This is the tactic that leaders and people in high places have used to manipulate the general naive public. You be sure to win this battle and to see all things for what they truly are. I want the eyes of the public to be open and for the reality of the game to be revealed. It is only fair that you know, as I do, the dynamics of the situation. I want you to use God’s eyes, ears, and all senses to discern all things.

You be the one to set the example. If you do not believe in the Bible, tell me why… Do not use society as an excuse. Be smarter than that. If you believe in Islam, tell me why. I want to hear your testimony. I want you to see the world for what it is, through the eyes of God. He wants you to be enlightened and not be living blinded by sin according to the spiritual warfare that is taking place behind the scenes.

Overcome those who are attempting to deceive you at their own game. Ask questions. Demand answers. There is no bad question. However, be AWARE of the nature of the words of the world versus the words inspired by God…They can create traps and set you up for disaster… Your adversary does not like for you to ask them questions, because this is how you get to the core of the problem…Pray for the answers, and they will come to you. Trust in God for all things and especially who to trust and believe.

Make sense of the mindset of our current leaders and what they desire. You do your homework and connect the dots. Race is a distraction from the truth. Do not let that be a factor. You judge according to the spiritual morality of a man and not sly talk. Do not be fooled or manipulated. It is my hope that all will see the true colors and motives from behind the scenes. You make sure your leaders have your best interest at heart and are looking out for you, desiring to teach you as well as enlighten you, not from a human understanding but from a Godly one.

Who is God? Who do you trust?

Galatians 6:7-8 (nasb) says, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh shall from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit shall from the Spirit reap eternal life.”

Chapter: End of Days (Pages 413-416)

Armageddon (Gr. Armageddon, from Heb.; Mount Megiddo; asv, Har-Magedon). The term Armageddon is a word found only in Revelation 16:16 for the final battleground between the forces of good and evil. The Valley of Jezreel and the Plain of Esdraelon at the foot of Mount Megiddo were the scenes of many decisive battles in the history of Israel: the victory sung by Deborah and-Barak…

Judges 5:19, 20 says, “The kings came and fought; then fought the kings of Canaan at Tanach near the waters of Megiddo; they took no plunder in silver. The stars fought from heaven, from their courses they fought against Sisera.”

Other battles fought include Gideon’s defeat of Midian ( Judg. 6:33), Saul’s death at the hand of the Philistines (1 Sam. 3, see 2 Sam. 4:4), where Josiah was slain in battle with Pharoah-nechoh (2 Kings 23: 29, 30), and Ahaziah fled and was killed there (II Kings 9:27).

The town of Megiddo guarded the pass that formed the easiest caravan route between the Plain of Sharon and the Valley of Jezreel, and the low mountains around were silent witnesses of perhaps more bloody encounters than any other spot on earth, continuing down to recent times. Hence the appropriateness of this place for the vast conflict pictured in Revelation 16.

“And I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs; for they are spirits performing signs, which go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them together for the war of the great day of God, the Almighty. (Behold, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is the one who stays awake and keeps his garments, lest he walk about naked and men see his shame.) And they gathered them together to the place in Hebrew is called Har-Magedon.”

Revelation 16:13-16 (nasb)

Deborah (Heb. devorah, bee), the fourth and greatest (with Gideon) of Israel’s judges, a prophetess, a wife of Lappidoth ( Judg. 4-5). She resided near the border of Benjamin and Ephraim, probably belonging to the latter tribe, and administered justice under “the palm tree of Deborah” (4:4-5). Like most Hebrew “judges,” however, Deborah served primarily as a divinely appointed deliverer and executive leader of Israel.

Barak (Heb. baraq, lightning), the son of Abinoam of Kedesh, a refuge city in Mt. Naphtali. He was summoned by Deborah the judge and prophetess to lead the Israelites to war against the Canaanites under the leadership of Sisera, the commander in chief of Jaban, king of Canaan. For twenty years Israel had been oppressed by the Canaanites. The farmlands were plundered; traffic almost ceased; and the fighting men of Israel were disarmed, so that not a shield nor a spear was to be seen among them. Barak raised an army of 10,000 men, mostly from a few faithful tribes, which encamped on Mt. Tabor, the wooded slopes of which protected them against the chariots of the Canaanites. The army of Israel routed Jabin’s 800 iron chariots and heavily armed host in the plain of Jezreel (Esdraelon). A heavy rainfall caused alluvial plain to become a morass in which the Canaanite army found it impossible to move, and assisted in the discomfiture. Sisera abandoned his chariot and ran away on foot. Barak pursued him and found him slain by Jael in her tent. A peace of forty years was secured ( Judges 4, 5).

Key Reference: In Hebrews 11:32 Barak’s name appears among those who achieved great things through faith.

In regards to Satan and how he will deceive many who are unaware, we can begin to imagine how much influence he will have for a short time. He, with extraordinary power, will have the ability to manipulate people at all cost. He will be the ruler of this world and the god of this world.

Jesus says in John 42-44 (nasb):

“If God were your Father, you would love Me; for I proceeded forth and have come from God, for I have not even come on my own initiative, but He sent Me. Why do you not understand what I am saying? It is because you cannot hear My word. You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature; for he is a liar, and the father of lies.”

The words of Jesus forewarning us before Satan has free reign here on earth in John 14:29-30 (nasb): “And now I have told you before it comes to pass, that when it comes to pass, you may believe. I will not speak much more with you, for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.”

One of Satan’s abilities as having extraordinary power is that he is the “prince of the power of the air” as we read in Ephesians 2:1-2 (nasb): “And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.”

In Matthew 13:19 (nasb), Jesus says, “When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is the one on whom seed was sown beside the road.”

In John 17: 14-17 (nasb), Jesus says this in regards to his disciples:

I have given them Thy word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I do not ask Thee to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth: Thy word is truth.

In Revelation 12:7-9 (nasb),

And there was war in heaven, Michael and his angels waging war with the dragon. And the dragon and his angels waged war, and they were not strong enough, and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven. And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.

In the book of Luke we see the description of Satan and understand that God casts him down to earth. I imagine that when God casts someone down he does so with complete authority and power such as lightning. Lightning is one of God’s most powerful weapons…

Jesus says in Luke 10:18 (nasb), “I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightning.”

If we consider historical facts and prophecy we begin to connect the dots as the big picture is unfolding. I believe that every thing happens for a reason and that each person has the opportunity to play a vital role in God’s plan, if they truly seek God first before all things. He will open doors for you that you never would have expected otherwise, and you will have the opportunity to make a huge impact on many lives. History does repeat itself. We know this from the Bible, the ultimate source of wisdom and truth. All things will be fulfilled, according to God’s will. You can count on that!

Insight To His Sight: Recognizing God’s Purpose For You

Chapter: A Sky Full of Lightning (Pages 103-106)

As I watched the lightning fill the sky last night, I was once again struck by awe at the absolute power of God. By just watching lightning and referring to what the Bible says concerning this phenomenon, we are reminded that His power and might extends unto the ends of the earth. His hope is that we might all read in order to understand our plan, and He gives us truth through His word. His word is incomparable, and by striving to know Him, He rewards us with revelations so deep that at most times, it is hard to put into words.

Everyone has the opportunity to grasp the magnitude of His power; however, without studying His word, how can we ever understand? The many distractions that Satan has thrown at us in order to draw us away are very apparent. We are either too busy or come up with some other excuse. The easy way out is not the ticket. How else can we expect to have any idea of what God wants to communicate to us? There is simply no other way. His word is the guide to life and the answer to all questions. For every question that may arise in our lifetime, He has an answer. If only we would truly take the time to study and gain complete understanding.

“They go from strength to strength, every one of them appears before God in Zion. O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer; Give ear, O God of Jacob! Selah. Behold our shield, O God, and look upon the face of Thine anointed. For a day in Thy courts is better than a thousand outside. I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God, than dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord gives grace and the glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. O Lord of hosts, how blessed is the man who trusts in Thee!”

Psalm 84:7–12

“In Thy name they rejoice all the day, and by Thy righteousness they are exalted. For Thou art the glory of their strength, and by Thy favor our horn is exalted. For our shield belongs to the Lord, and our king to the Holy One of Israel…I have found David My servant; With My holy oil I have anointed him, with whom My hand will be established; My arm also will strengthen him. The enemy will not deceive him, nor the son of wickedness afflict him. But I shall crush his adversaries before him, and strike those who hate him. And my faithfulness and My loving kindness will be with him, and in My name his horn will be exalted. I shall also set his hand on the sea, and his right hand on the rivers. He will cry to Me, “Thou art my Father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.”

Psalm 89:16–18, 2–26

“Once I have sworn by My holiness; I will not lie to David. His descendants shall endure forever, and his throne as the sun before Me. It shall be established forever like the moon, and the witness in the sky is faithful.”

Psalm 89:35–37

“Now after the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to look at the grave. And behold, a severe earthquake had occurred, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled away the stone and sat upon it. And his appearance was like lightning, and his garment as white as snow; and the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men. And the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified.”

Matthew 28:1–5

Behold, He spreads His lightning about Him, and He covers the depths of the sea. For by these He judges peoples; He gives food in abundance. He covers His hands with the lightning, and commands it to strike the mark. Its noise declares His presence; the cattle also, concerning what is coming up.”

Job 36:30–32

The Saul said, “I have sinned. Return my son David, for I will not harm you again because my life was precious in your sight this day. Behold, I have played the fool and have committed a serious error. And David answered and said,

“Behold the spear of the king! Now let one of the young men come over and take it. And the Lord will repay each man for righteousness and his faithfulness; for the Lord delivered you into my hand today, but I refused to stretch out my hand against the Lord’s anointed.

1 Samuel 26:21–23
