Leap Of Faith: Daily Lessons About Jesus Christ
Chapter: Israel (Pages 365-370)
When we are put into a position as to whether we must protect Israel as a people and a country, we must abide by God’s commandments.
God has chosen Israel to be protected, and we are to always provide defense for Israel. As the United States of America, we are to uphold Christian values and prophecy, which commands us to support God’s chosen people.
Let us refer to Scripture.
“What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we beheld with our hands handled, concerning the Word of Life—and the life was manifested, and we have seen and bear witness and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us—what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, that you also may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and His Son Jesus Christ.”
1 John 1-3 (nasb)
The people referred to as “we” is Israel.
“And this is the promise which He Himself made to us: eternal life. These things I have written to you concerning those who are trying to deceive you. And as for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him.”
1 John 1:25-27 (nasb) (emphasis added)
This gives us a clear reflection of the state of Israel and all Jewish people. This is the mindset of the Jewish people. The Jewish people are faithful to God the Father and are awaiting the Son of God to appear. The Jewish people must believe in God’s truth sent by John in union with the Holy Spirit. The truth is that Jesus has sent His Word through His faithful witness in order that you may know His everlasting truth, which has been sent by God the Father. If you believe in the Father, believe in His Son’s witness to the Father.
“And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars; and she was with child; and she cried out, being in labor and in pain to give birth.”
Revelation 12:1-2 (nasb) (emphasis added)
Israel is the origin of all the tribes of the earth and the Holy Land from which Christianity arose. Israel is to be protected and we are to eliminate all threats to Israel without question. Allowing for development of nuclear weapons by Iran is detrimental to our safety as well as Israel, who they wish to destroy. It is our job as a military to protect and preserve our most essential ally and God’s chosen people.
Israel stands firm in their conviction to the appearing of Jesus, and we are to act as Jesus would in protecting His family. Jesus would go to any and all means to eliminate threats or persecution of His people. We are to act, as Jesus will, in taking action to ensure the safety of Israel. This is a decision to be upheld by all Christians and Jewish people alike. This is the Word of God, and prophecy.
When we consider the symbolic nature of a circle, we ought to know that the circle of life is symbolic of recreation and women. Without women creation would cease. All children are born of a woman. The circle, having feminine symbolism, can also tie into the truth behind the New Jerusalem. The circle is used for many different types of symbolism, specifically eternity and the sphere of God’s Kingdom….
“And one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and spoke with me, saying, “Come here, I shall show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.”
Revelation 21:9 (nasb) (emphasis added)
The circle symbolizes the design of the New Jerusalem, the union of Christ with His people, just as God designed the world in the beginning.
“And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, having the glory of God. Her brilliance was like a very costly stone (The color purple in Amethyst is key to gaining understanding), as a stone of crystal-clear jasper.”
Revelation 21:10-11 (nasb) (emphasis added)
Now, we must understand that Jesus, in union with His bride, the New Jerusalem, is who we are to trust. This is God’s will. God is helping everyone to see through a perfect demonstration how He has put this together over the course of an extensive amount of time in order for Revelation to be fulfilled. By sending His Son into the world, He has fulfilled His promise. It is our job to trust the words of Jesus.
The Holy Spirit ministers to Jesus as His Father, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit.
In Judaism, “chosenness” is the belief that the Jews are the chosen people by a covenant with God. This covenant is found in the Torah (the five books of Moses, which are also included
in the Christian Bible) and is elaborated on in later books of the Hebrew Bible.
The three largest Jewish denominations are Orthodox Judaism, Conservative Judaism, and Reform Judaism. All three maintain that the Jews have been chosen by God for a purpose.
Deuteronomy 14:2 says, “For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; and the Lord has chosen you to be a people for His own possession out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.
Exodus 19:5 says, “Now then, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be My own possession among all the peoples, for all the earth is Mine;”
Genesis 17:7 says, “And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your descendants after you.”
Exodus 19:6 says, “And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words that you shall speak to the sons of Israel.”
“The Lord did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any of the peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples, but because the Lord loved you and kept the oath which He swore to your forefathers, the Lord brought you out by a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of slavery, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.”
The Siddur reads: “Praised are You, Lord our God, King of the Universe, Who has chosen us out of all the nations and bestowed upon us His Torah.”
Amos 3:2 says, “You only I have chosen among all the families of the earth; Therefore, I will punish you for all your iniquities.”
It is important to recognize the relevance to the Jewish people from a biblical standpoint. The Jewish people have been called by God. They are the few that have been called to be Holy above all peoples. They have been called and chosen to uphold the Law of Moses. God has instructed the Jewish people of all that is required of them. They are the chosen people.
Zechariah 14:9 says, “And the Lord will be king over all the earth; in that day the Lord will be the only one, and His name the only one.”
Matthew 1:1 says, “The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.”
The second coming of Christ is a big mystery… It is one that demands some deep thought. When we consider the Virgin Mary, we should know that Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit. Jesus has been conceived through Immaculate Conception. This Immaculate Conception is one that is very hard to understand. It is truly incomprehensible to us as humans.
I believe that the second coming of Christ will be very similar to the first appearance. Jesus will have undergone all of His major trials and tribulations up to the age of thirty, all of His courses, and then His ministry will begin, just as it did according to the Bible.
“And after He had removed him, He raised up David to be their king, concerning whom He also testified and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My heart, who will do all My will. From the offspring of this man, according to promise, God has brought to Israel a Savior, Jesus, after John had proclaimed before His coming a baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel. And while John was completing his course, he kept saying, “What do you suppose that I am? I am not He. But behold, one is coming after me the sandals of whose feet I am not worthy to untie.”
The hidden years of Jesus’s life. Can you imagine what He must have undergone during that time?
Luke is the only one to give us a story about Jesus’s early life. He reminds us that Jesus was a normal little boy who experienced genuine human development physically, mentally, morally, and spiritually. Jesus’s authentic humanity is precisely what the legendary “infancy narratives” obscure. The story also hints at the emergent tension between Jesus’s filial identity with God the Father and his willing obedience to his earthly parents. Eventually that obedience gave way to radical disruption, for by the time of his public ministry his own family tried to apprehend him, and the entire village of Nazareth tried to kill him as a deranged man.
History repeats itself, and I believe that it is part of our job to be mindful of this fact.
I can even see where the immaculate conception could occur again, and Jesus would be born into the world, in secret.
Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
Ephesians 3:20-21 says, “Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.”

Chapter: Artistic Design (Pages 19-20)
Knowing that Jesus is an artist and that God designed His Son from the idea that He was to symbolize the “circle of life” is critical to understanding God.
The morning star is the cornerstone, which Jesus carries on His shoulder. The cornerstone is the seal of God and the truth behind the design of the world. It all began with light, which originally came from a star, a star that would one day be known as the bright morning star of life. The star was to be the example for all the world to understand, in order that all may have life through Christ. Let us reflect to the all-seeing eye of God, which is surrounded by rays of light (twelve rays), seen many times enclosed by a triangle, symbolizing the Trinity. This is often seen as the eye of God watching over humankind, or to know. Now, understand the riddle of the most notable depiction of the great Seal of the United States, which appears on the US one-dollar bill…big clue. Also note that seventeenth century depictions of the eye of providence often show it surrounded by clouds or sunbursts.
John 1:5 (nasb) says, “And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.”
Know that Jesus loves art, and He and God designed what would become the morning star that believers would one day understand. This would become the cornerstone and foundation of all things true and of God. This artistic piece of the puzzle is designed by God and different from that which man has designed as his own image to be worshipped. God has placed His stamp of approval on Jesus that is completely different from that of man’s approval. Let us recall pictographs and images drawn from biblical times, which are a vital part of understanding Jesus. Recall that Jesus loved to draw.
“And they were saying this, testing Him, in order that they might have grounds for accusing Him. But Jesus stooped down, and with His finger wrote on the ground (depicting a circle). But when they persisted in asking Him, He straightened up, and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.” And again He stooped down, and wrote on the ground.”
John 8:6-8 (nasb) (emphasis added)
The writing of Jesus on the ground was a drawing of a circle with a single spot in the center. This is what Jesus has endured since from when He was brought into the world. Jesus walks around with a target on His back as the world has thrown stones at Him, either physically or spiritually (key to gaining full understanding-in the End this will ALL be revealed). This is the key to understanding this parable.
No one is without sin. Remember to honor the suffering of Jesus, being crucified by the world.

Chapter: Bride of Christ/New Babylon (Pages 311-312)
“And one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and spoke with me, saying, “Come here, I shall show you the bride the wife of the Lamb.” And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, having the glory of God. Her brilliance was like a very costly stone, as a stone of crystal-clear jasper. It had a great and high wall, with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels; and names were written on them, which are the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel.”
Revelation 21:9-12 (nasb) (emphasis added)
When we see the description of the New Jerusalem, we see that it appears to be descending from heaven. This is a descent in what could appear to be an asteroid or a meteor. This is how I see the New Jerusalem descending in my mind. I see the New Jerusalem coming in on fire for God.
Be mindful that the New Jerusalem will be filled with those who have been chosen by God. Also, know that God has chosen a wife for Christ. He has chosen a bride, which will be the beginning of an eternal kingdom, the new Babylon. The new birth.
When we see this happening, we will know that the end is near as well as the beginning for those that have chosen wisely, according to the direction of God’s Word.
Revelation 22:13 (nasb) says, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”
I would like to point out once again how this new birth is the future of the new heavens and the new earth. You should be aware of the magnitude of this situation. This will be the coolest event we have ever seen. Those who have been righteous will be rewarded. For the unrighteous and abominable they will be judged accordingly. The door has been opened, and it is now your choice to seek God.
Revelation 3:20 (nasb) says, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with Me.”

Chapter: Jerusalem/New Jerusalem (Pages 307-309)
Views on the nature of the city, whether it is literal or symbolic, and on when it comes into existence are legion. It is a big mystery.
Some hold to the belief that the city is a symbol of the ideal church as conceived in the purpose of God and to be fully realized in His own time.
The fact that the city descends “out of heaven from God”means that it is the product of God’s supernatural workmanship, in the historic process of redemption. In Revelation 21:9-10 John is told that he was to be shown the bride, the Lamb’s wife, or actually the New Jerusalem. For Jerusalem and Zion are often used for the inhabitants and faithful worshipers of Jehovah, so the New Jerusalem is symbolical of the church of God. The New Jerusalem will be wherever Christ is present in His second coming.
Note that Islam has put its own twist on this in order to attempt to understand it. Two million to three million Muslims make the hajj each year, traveling to Mecca in the twelfth month of the Muslim year. They wear white robes walking around the Ka’ba, a structure believed to have been constructed by Adam and rebuilt by Abraham and Ishmael. It contains a black stone that Muslims believe descended from heaven to mark the center of the world.
In Mecca there is a large square-shaped structure called the Ka’ba (“the cube”), measuring thirty-six feet by forty-two feet and standing forty-three feet high. Originally dedicated to Hubal, a Nabatean deity, it is covered by a black and gold silk curtain. The Black Stone, a meteor that fell from heaven to earth, is situated in its eastern corner. Local tradition claimed that Adam originally built this structure, but it fell into disrepair, so Abraham and Ishmael reconstructed it (Qur’an 2:127).
Now remember that the portrayal of this “meteor that fell from heaven to earth” is Islam’s way of making sense of their faith to the world. The New Jerusalem will be depicted in the very same way, in my opinion. If you do your homework and read through the Bible in relevance to how we might perceive the New Jerusalem, if drawn by someone it would probably be very similar. However, there would be significant differences as to the twelve gates and the colors used to portray the city. Color is very important in regards to symbolism in the Bible. Be mindful; God decorated heaven with the color and beauty of precious stones. This is where each stone will occupy a space in the foundations of the wall of New Jerusalem.
When I begin thinking about the New Jerusalem, I am aware that God already knows where that will be. It will be wherever He directs the Lamb to go, along with all of those who recognize and know Him. It will be of no meaning to those who have chosen not to believe or to understand the prophecy. When we consider the supernatural power of God and His workmanship, we must think on a deep spiritual level. He began a work long ago that required many people in order that all things be fulfilled in accordance with Scripture. You can count on the fact that Christ will acknowledge each and every person’s work. The body of Christ is one that only God could create and one that not everyone can understand. Each person has a choice to seek out their role in God’s plan, but out of stubbornness and ignorance people have chosen to ignore the reality of the times in which we are currently living.
My hope is that each and every person knows that they have a window of opportunity that they can seize in order to allow God to direct their life. It is getting very close to the point when that window of opportunity may close, and I cannot begin to think about how the other side of things will be. Why go on living without God and seeking to know Christ? Why would someone not want to know Him? Is it a crime to seek understanding now? Or have people gotten so caught up in the mess of the world in which we live that they are completely blinded by sin? A little Bible study goes a long ways. It will open doors that you never knew existed. Who in their right mind would choose to miss out on the kingdom that awaits?
Follow your dreams and understand that it is all waiting to be discovered. I would hope for this to be VERY EXCITING for all of the world.
