A True Look at New Morals

Chapter: Walking Humbly (Page 31)

Is the path for peace, globalization policies that give advantage to wealthy countries over poor nations? Does this undermine security and justice? You bet. At a World Trade Organization meeting, analysts bluntly admitted that the objective of the United States was simply to advance the interests of multinational corporate interests over the interest of developing countries.

Our new leadership must depend upon a faith-based initiative for peace and global security. We need a rock star who will talk about globalization, HIV/AIDS, and reducing global poverty. Remember that History is changed by social movements with a spiritual foundation. The issues that have always mattered concerning abolition of slavery, women’s suffrage, and civil rights demanded an address of spiritual foundation.

Show a better way. Walk humbly with God.

Micah 6:8 “He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you. But to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”

Chapter: Wisdom or Folly (Page 33)

Proverbs 9:13-16 “The woman of folly is boisterous, she is naive, and knows nothing. And she sits at the doorway of her house, on a seat by the high places of the city, calling to those who pass by, who are making their paths straight: Whoever is naive, let him turn in here, and to him who lacks understanding she says, “Stolen water is sweet.”

Revelation 18:7 “To the degree that she glorified herself and lived sensuously, to the same degree give her torment and mourning; for she says in her heart, “I sit as a Queen and I am not a widow, and will never see mourning.”

These two pieces of scripture demonstrate the truth behind retaining wisdom from God and rejecting God’s instruction. These have polar opposite outcomes and consequences.

Chapter: An Agent for Compassion (Pages 61-62)

When we consider our economy we ought to know that we should be striving for free enterprise and growth within the private sector. We ought to be looking for an approach to business that is solely driven by good as opposed to greed. By carefully analyzing the two different approaches that we may choose from, we see that the best option is capitalism. Capitalism is an agent for compassion which uses faith and Biblical precepts as an engine for action.

Each and every business is comprised of individuals who thrive at the opportunity to be treated fairly which in return results in a more fulfilling and productive life.

As a community we are to come together and design corporations that will be profitable, and return the rewards gained to the individuals and entrepreneurs who made it possible. We need to see more of the younger generations building programs that entitle each person the opportunity to create a business that may eventually be passed down throughout the family for generations to come, carrying mission statements that inspire the world to follow God, through Christ.

The result of big government is one that has no desire to build new business. Big government will result in lack of motivation and laziness. Government control is in direct opposition to free enterprise and private sector growth. Do not be fooled. Those who have gone out on their own and built educational programs that teach people how to start a business will cease to exist if the route taken is one that revolves around the government.

We must teach those who have not been informed of the truth to make educated decisions that will eventually lead them to having the opportunity into owning their own private business. We do not want the private sector to deteriorate any longer. We must focus on morality and freedom, which the Bible teaches us.

One must understand the difference between being controlled and having freedom. If we continue down this path of destruction we will no longer have any freedom to start our own business. If we continue this direction one will not be able to pass on what they have built to their children. The fundamental economic strategy of building an economy based on government will not succeed. Let us strive to allow for small businesses to grow and for the world to see the United States as the example of morality, entitlement, and empowerment.

An economy that is founded upon the Christian cornerstone is one that will grow and survive. This is the real solution for our problems and this is how an individual is to vote. Vote based upon whether or not you desire to discover God’s gift to you. God rewards us by giving opportunity to people to start a business and excel to their full potential. One must seek out God’s discernment while voting and recognize the best option in order for your freedom to remain, the little freedom that we still possess. It all  begins and ends with faith…and making the correct choice…Knowing who to trust…

A leader and president is to allow for protection and freedom. A president is to be a shepherd to his flock.

John 10:7-10 “Jesus therefore said to them again, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he shall be saved, and shall go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill, and destroy; I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.”

The catch here is to pay attention to the actions by the shepherd, for they will be a good indicator of the heart of a man. The encouragement of free enterprise and individual success determined by one’s spiritual journey towards God is the underlying factor and the key.
