Leap of Faith: Daily Lessons About Jesus Christ
Chapter: Being Aware (Pages 353-356)
The battle of Islam and the West is that Islam is convinced that the only true Muslim state is one that is governed unconditionally by Shari’a and that the only culture that Muslims should embrace is one founded solely on Shari’a. When facing invasions from outsiders, Muslims must rebuke and refute their oppressors.
Let this be clear: Islam is not a religion of peace. This point of Shari’a law clearly outlines this point. Be aware of the comments that have been made, and read between the lines. We need true faith and protection in the United States. If we are not careful, our sense of freedom will dissipate before our eyes. We need to be sure that we have leaders who show an example of God’s heart for the people. We need a leader who embraces Eternal success.
One more point to be considered is the relations between the United States and Israel.
We should consider that the military wing of Hamas, called the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigade, has sponsored terrorism against Israel. Hamas has also engaged in social and political work, funding healthcare clinics, sports leagues, mosques, and schools. More than 90 percent of its work is cultural, social, and educational.
We also need to be aware of the Muslim Brotherhood (Ikhwan al-Muslimim), an organization founded in 1928 by Hasan al-Banna. Considered “the mother of all Islamist movements,” it was originally designed to Islamize society through promotion of Islamic morals, values, and law. It has combined social warfare, political activism, and religion.
Its creed is: “Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. Qur’an is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.”
Now lets address the spiritual mindset of Islam. Let’s add this fact: half of radicalized Muslims the world over say that willingness to “sacrifice one’s life for something one believes in” is “completely justifiable.” Here’s a troubling question: Does this response indicate that half of the world’s 112 million, which is an underestimate in reality, would be willing to serve their cause as suicide bombers? If Gallup’s surveys overstate the case tenfold, we are still facing five million potential suicide attackers. The problem is really more serious than statistics can reveal.
The Key here is that you now have the ability to feel both the presence of Islam and the presence of Christ…two very different feelings…Do not be afraid to become aware…This is how you protect yourself…and others…(7 Spirits of God)
Remember the two tenets of Islam that have been expressed over time: 1) the West has been invading the Muslim world since the Crusades, so jihadists are defending Islam by attacking us; and 2) citizens in the democratic West support their leaders and military (people in High places), making them combatants and enemies of Islam.
There are four accusations against America and the Western world:
- 1) We impose non-Muslim governments on the Muslim world.
- 2) We impose non-Muslim values on Muslim culture.
- 3) We are “Crusaders” who seek to conquer their lands and people.
- 4) We support “Zionists” in their aggression against Palestinians and Islam.
This is what we would call a “fundamentalist” movement. If we pay careful attention we see this happening from within our own current political system, not from a Christian standpoint but as an Islamic movement.
To be clear, as a country we are to counteract the allegation that we are invading “Crusaders” rather than agents of democratic reform.
This is all due to our current leadership. Does this help in seeing the problem from a “morality” standpoint? The mindset is the issue. It is a big problem.
The cancer of global terrorism will continue to afflict the international body until we address its political and economic causes, causes that will otherwise continue to provide a breeding ground for hatred and radicalism, the rise of extremist movements, and recruits of the Bin Ladens of the world.
The way that we defend this is by encouraging moderate Muslims and defending ourselves. We must attempt to minister to and inform Muslims of the truth that lies within Jesus Christ. We must dedicate our work to teaching the correct morality behind all things. We must teach. We must demonstrate the truth in our actions. We must serve and be examples of Christ. We must make sacrifices in our lives in order to help the Muslim communities to learn and grow.
I choose to believe that our current leaders are very aware of the situation. I cannot imagine how they could not be. Morality is the first priority.
Key Point: Defending the Word of God is an absolute…and the Testimony of Jesus Christ…
Plain and simple, the truth needs to be told.
“And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshipped his image; these two were thrown alive into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone. And the rest were killed with the sword which came from the mouth of Him who sat upon the horse, and all the birds were filled with their flesh.”
Revelation 19:20-21 (nasb)
Remember this is not intended to persecute or conquer. This is to reveal the truth and know that your actions in defending Christianity are justified by God…
Know this, the Romans crucified Jesus, just the same as the Islamic Empire has crucified him today…
“And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?”
