Leap of Faith: Daily Lessons About Jesus Christ
Chapter: True Strength (Pages 179-180)
There is not one person on this planet that you should be afraid of. Faith surpasses all fear. With God there is no one that can harm you. By listening to His instruction and following His direction we are reassured of the strength that surpasses all human understanding. There is no area that you should be afraid of or any person that should worry you. The truth is that our fate lies in God’s hands. My life is in His hands. I am only here on this earth until He decides otherwise. By putting my full trust in Him, He protects me every day of my life.
As a leader you should have no fear. Do not let anyone attempt to intimidate you or worry you. They cannot take away what you possess, which is the power of the Holy Spirit. The most powerful presence that we shall ever know…for by all things pure and holy this spirit was used to create what exists…
Being put into some very challenging and threatening situations, I have come to know that I have nothing to worry about. God has got my back, and with His strength I can do all things, honorable to Him (Philippians 4:13). This understanding is not to be abused, but very respected. Respect God, and He will bless you in ways you never could understand before.
As a leader, there is nothing to be afraid of as far as addressing those who may threaten you or use scare tactics to coerce you into acting on behalf of their own personal agenda. As a servant of God, you make the right decisions according to what He has asked of you. You know your duty to God. Be a man of God, and do what you know you need to do. Set things straight, and put aside those who are negatively influencing you into decisions.
The heart is what matters.
One important emphasis is that God wants to save everyone. He is a God of love and forgiveness. His heart belongs to you by seeking Him. He already loves you. You know that He is with you as long as you put your trust in Him and act according to His direction and not allow yourself to be lead astray by the world. God will guide you.
This comes from the bottom of my heart…
John 16:33 (nasb) says, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”

Chapter: Dedication and Heart (Pages 191-192)
When you love someone, you are to show them that love at all times. That love is the foundation of all things. With love comes trust. Trust and love go hand in hand. I know that with joy comes love. By being joyful we are able to share our love with others.
I believe that without inner joy in knowing who you are, it is hard to love someone. That inner joy and foundation of Christ’s love and spirit is where we begin to understand. We must obtain love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. To love someone with all of your heart and soul requires all of these qualities.
I am dedicated to others. I feel that by serving and helping others we establish these qualities within us. I have come to understand that dedication and heart are at the forefront of success. I know this because of the rewards that I have been blessed with by God. Success is honoring God in all things. Success depends upon whether we listen to God and use His instruction or if we ignore His direction. I believe in my heart that, no matter what, God will fulfill His promise to me…
God provides for us in ways that go beyond all understanding. By having Him bless a relationship, we find true intimacy. True intimacy is shared with God, and He only allows that love to grow and become stronger as time goes on.
True love is telling each other what you need to hear and not always what you want to hear, expressing truth. The reality is that we cannot allow problems to eat us up. I have to get things off of my chest sometimes, just like everyone else… Otherwise, those problems will tear me down. We cannot allow for this to happen. Write down those thoughts or issues. Let go of them. Trust in one another for all things and be ready to listen…That is how a true relationship is built…share those ideas and thoughts…
Being patient is one of the best qualities that we can possess. Being patient allows time for each other to heal and allows God to intervene and resolve the issues that we face. Patience is not easy, though, especially when your heart is fully invested in what you believe to be true. When I invest my heart, I give it fully; there is no doubt about that. I try to control that love and to not allow it to be overwhelming, but at many times it is not easy. I just know that God has filled my heart with a love that is unconditional and true. I have held onto that love, even through the hardest and most rejecting times. The fact is that God’s love is quite different from that of the world. Worldly love has no comparison to God’s love. God’s love is hard to share with worldly people, because it is often rejected and seen to be a weakness rather than a strength…due to the savage nature of a fallen world…
God’s love begins internally and then begins to shine on the outside. God’s love is the most powerful force that I know, and it carries me through even the most doubtful times. I know that, regardless of what happens, His love remains…
First John 3:9-10 (nasb) says, “No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are.”
