The Redemption of Angels, Principalities, and Powers

Truth Revealed By God

Chapter: Author of Eternal Salvation (Pages 58-64)

READ Revelation 22:7. And behold, I am coming quickly. Blessed is he who heeds the words of the prophecy of this book (NASB).

READ Revelation 21:22-23. And I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God, the Almighty, and the Lamb, are its temple. And the city has no need of the sun or the moon to shine upon it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb (NASB).

READ 1 Corinthians 13:12-13. For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I shall know fully just as I also have been fully known. But now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love (NASB).

READ Hebrews 2:5-10. For He did not sub- ject to angels the world to come, concerning which we are speaking. But one has testified somewhere, saying, “What is man, that thou rememberest him? Or the son of man, that thou art concerned about him? Thou hast made him for a little while lower than the angels; Thou hast crowned him with glory and honor, and hast appointed him over the works of thy hands; Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in subjecting all things to him, He left nothing that is not

subject to him. But now we do not yet see all things subjected to him. But we do see Him who has been made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone. For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to perfect the AUTHOR of their sal- vation through sufferings (NASB).

READ Hebrews 10:5-7. Therefore, when He comes into the world, He says, “Sacrifice and offering thou has not desired, but a BODY thou has prepared for me. In whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou has taken no pleasure. Then I said, Behold, I have come (In the roll of the book it is written of me) To do thy will, O God (NASB).

READ Hebrews 10:9-10. …then He said, “Behold, I have come to do thy will. He takes away the first in order to establish the second. By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all (NASB).

In these passages, we come to understand that God has prepared a body for Jesus to come into the world. He has transformed the body into a heavenly state and molded the body into who Jesus Christ is to come. For He was made lower than the angels for a little while, during the sacrifice that He made in order to save and minister to all of mankind. Even Jesus, having become fully human, was forced to taste death for everyone in order that they might be saved. He made a living sacrifice for us to teach us how to overcome and live according to God’s ways. Having overcome death, He rose from the dead and became the King of Heaven and Earth, demonstrating the full glory of God. He became the head of all the angels and obtained all of the gifts of the angels in order to better minister to the human race and to understand the minds of the world. He, as do the angels, comprehend the thoughts of the world and knows of the reasons why all is happening. In this current world that we live in, there is much spiritual persecution, only for a short time and the angels along with Jesus are helping to transform and create a New Jerusalem, where there is no persecution. This is a place where evil has been done away with, and we live in a holy state that is full of gifts, knowledge, and all rewards that we desire. The minds of the angels and Jesus can zero in on the problem and fight off the evil that exists and persists in the world. For they have the power and gifts to overcome, by the grace of God. In the end, we hope that all of the angels who have fallen will have a chance to redeem them- selves and reestablish their positions in heavenly realms, by God’s mercy. Our hope is that they eat of the good fruit which comes down out of heaven and refrain from disorder and hypocrisy, obtaining a peace and gentleness in order to minister to the human race. Remember that all things are put in subjection under the feet of Jesus, and that He is the appointed Savior of the world. We look to what God has created, that being a body where God dwells and where we find our understanding and peace. We know that Jesus is the Author of all of what is to come. For in the “roll of the book”, it is written of Him, what has happened, what is presently hap- pening, and what will happen in the future.

Truth Revealed By God

Chapter: Author of Our Faith (Pages 65-69)

READ James 3:13-18. Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom. But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arro- gant and so lie against the truth. This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic. For where jeal- ousy and selfish ambition exist, there is dis- order and every evil thing. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy. And the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace (NASB).

READ James 3:2. For we all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to bridle the whole body as well. Now if we put the bits into the horses’ mouths so that they may obey us, we direct their entire body as well (NASB).

READ James 2:17-19. Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself. But someone may well say,, “You have faith, and I have works; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works.

You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder.” (NASB)

READ Ephesians 3:14-16. For this reason, I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man (NASB).

One of our goals in life is to refrain from being jealous, for that causes us to fall. We want to remain upright and true, remaining in the Spirit which gives us strength and salva- tion. All of the angels must know that the fall of Satan or Lucifer was due to jealousy. Do not be selfish, but be generous in sharing your gifts, both on earth and those which come from heaven. Do not allow your words to cause you to stumble, but be cautious and aware of what you say. For the tongue is a fire and has the ability to defile the entire body. The tongue directs our life. For it is what comes out of a man or woman that defiles them. Work for goodness and for the cause of Christ, rather than seeking earthly rewards. We all must have the ability to live and provide for our- selves and our families, but works can be done just within a household. Build your house upon a strong foundation and create a sanctuary for God’s dwelling. Be strengthened and encouraged by your name, for every name is derived from God.

Truth Revealed By God

Chapter: Author of Peace (Pages 70-74)

READ Revelation 5:1-6. And I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a book written inside and on the back, sealed up with seven seals. And I saw an angel pro- claiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the book and to break its seals?” And no one in heaven, or on the earth, or under earth, was able to open the book, or to look into it. And I began to weep greatly, because no one was found worthy to open the book, or to look into it; and one of the elders said to me, “Stop weeping; behold, the Lion that is

from the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome so as to open the book and its seven seals.” And I saw between the throne (with the four living creatures) and the elders a Lamb standing, as if slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, sent out into all the earth (NASB).

READ 1 Peter 3:18-22. For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, in order that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit; in which also He went and made proclamation to the spirits now in prison, who once were disobedient, when the patience of God kept waiting in the days of Noah, during the construction of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through the water. And corresponding to that, baptism now saves you— not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good con- science — through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who is at the right hand of God, having gone into heaven, after angels and authorities and powers had been subjected to Him (NASB).

READ 2 Thessalonians 2:3-6. Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruc- tion, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things? And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he may be revealed (NASB).

Here we see where God has created a pic- ture for us in order to know the Son. The seven horns and seven spirits are perfect, for He is the image of perfection. We also see that He is the Root of David, which is important

to understanding genealogy in the Bible. Jesus had to overcome adversity in order to open the book and its contents. By knowing this fact, we are able to understand that the contents of the book were very firm and controversial to the order of mankind. They revealed matters pertaining to the world that we currently live in. They revealed what is to come and what is happening now. Jesus has and is proclaiming now to the disobedient and those who have been put in prison by our adversary. Another goal is to maintain a good conscience and to make wise decisions. This helps by working out your weak- nesses and handing them over to God, in order that He may heal you, and strive for a state of divinity. We must be aware of the son of lawlessness who seeks to destroy God’s creation.

We must fight the good fight and strive to do away with all violence, hostility, and jealousy. For God has given us many gifts, but we are not God. We honor God by our works and faith in Him. Never become arrogant by thinking that you are God, for even Jesus, though He was and is God, never exalted Himself as God. He was humble and faithful in all of His action (Even though He had the power of God), being the example for us to follow.
