Black Horse of Judgment Upon the World

Truth Revealed By God

Chapter: Horn of Salvation (Pages 152-155)

READ Genesis 50:20. You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people (J. NLT).

READ Matthew 25:31. But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit upon his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered in his presence, and he will separate the people as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will place the sheep at his right hands and the goats at his left (J. NLT).

READ Acts 1:11. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why are you standing here staring into heaven? Jesus has been taken from you into heaven, but someday he will return from heaven in the same way you saw him go!” (J. NLT)

READ 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the believers who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever. So encourage each other with these words (J. NLT).

DEVOTIONAL

As we read these scriptures, we are filled with the Holy Spirit of truth and hope. Since the beginning, in Genesis, God has protected those whom He has chosen and loved. We should be looking for God to be sepa- rating the sheep from the goats. Be looking up, awaiting the face of Jesus to be shown.

Watch for the clouds to be moving with Him at His coming. Look up! All of those who have been slain and have died will rise to be with God, and those who have remained will be raptured, “Harpazo”, into the clouds to be in heaven with God. Then, we will see the end.

Truth Revealed By God

Chapter: Fullers’ Soap {Pages 141-(145)}

READ Genesis 32:24-30. This left Jacob all alone in the camp, and a man came and wres- tled with him until the dawn began to break. When the man saw that he would not win the match, he touched Jacob’s hip and wrenched it out of its socket. Then the man said, “Let me go, for the dawn is breaking!” But Jacob said, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.” “What is your name?” the man asked. He replied, “Jacob.” “Your name will no longer be Jacob,” the man told him. “From now on you will be called Israel, because you have fought with God and with me and have won. “Please tell me your name,” Jacob said. “Why do you want to know my name?” the man replied. Then he blessed Jacob there. Jacob named the place Peniel (which means “face of God”), for he said, “I have seen God face to face, yet my life has been spared (J. NLT).

READ Revelation 19:17-21. The I saw an angel standing in the sun, shouting to the vul- tures flying high in the sky: “Come! Gather together for the great banquet God has pre- pared. Come and eat the flesh of kings, generals, and strong warriors; of horses and their riders; of all humanity, both free and slave, small and great.” Then I saw the beast and the kings of the world and their armies gath- ered together to fight against the one sitting on the horse and his army. And the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who did mighty miracles on behalf of the beast- miracles that deceived all who had accepted the mark of the beast and who worshipped his statue. Both the beast and the false prophet were thrown into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. Their entire army was killed by the sharp sword that came from the mouth of the one riding the white horse. And the vultures all gorged on the dead bodies (J. NLT).

READ Habakkuk 3:6. When he stops, the earth shakes. When he looks, the nations tremble. He shatters the everlasting moun- tains and levels the eternal hills. He is the Eternal One (J. NLT).

For us, Jacob is an example of how God rewards us by fighting with Him in battle. The battles that we face now are mostly spir- itual and a battle of the mind. It is our job to stand firm and to not allow evil to creep in, as Satan is very sly in his ways of persecuting us. Know that God is with you in all that you face. All things are possible through God, who pro- vides us the wisdom that we need to overcome the adversity. Find strength in your achieve- ments and feel successful in winning these battles. The final battle where God conquers Satan is a battle of the mind. (Key To understanding the altering of the mind is full recognition of the ways of Satan)… It is our job to perfect our minds and to stay away from those who influence us in a negative way, and to be careful of the situations that we put ourselves in. We are very sensitive to the world and know the ways of the world. Do not be of the world, but be of God. For God has overcome the world through His Son. Today, we are to look for the Rider on the true white horse, who is Jesus. He has already conquered the beast and the false prophet. (Key Note: the rider on the Black Horse brings with him God’s judgment…) Have faith in His words of reconciliation. For His vengeance is upon the wicked and He will uphold the righteous. It is reassurance to know that when God stops, the earth shakes and the nations tremble. For God’s Eternal existence and power is beyond our human comprehension.
