The Good Old Days…

Truth Revealed By God

Chapter: Bread of Life (Pages 83-87)

Key Reference: Revelation 5:6

“And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth unto all the earth…”

READ Malachi 3:1-4. Behold, I am going to send My messenger (Who might that have been or be in a present day scenario?) , and he will clear the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple; and the messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight, behold, He is coming, says the Lord of hosts. But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap. And He will sit as a smelter and purifier of silver, and He will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, so that they may present to the Lord offerings of righteousness. Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasing to the Lord, as in the days of old and as in former years (NASB).

READ Luke 12:49-53. I have come to cast fire upon the earth; and how I wish it were already kindled! But I have a baptism to undergo, and how distressed I am until it is accomplished! Do you suppose that I came to grant peace on the earth? I tell you, no, but rather division; for from now on five mem- bers in one household will be divided, three against two, and two against three. They will be divided, father against son, and son against father; mother against daughter, and daughter against mother; mother-in-law against daughter-in-law, and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law (NASB).

For God has sent forth His messenger to clear the way before He executes judg- ment upon all of the earth. He has sent His Son into the world to overcome all of the fallen angels in heavenly realms, as well as the dragon, the beast, and the false prophet. Know that Jesus Christ had to first undergo a baptism from heaven, and was for a little while lower than the angels. Now He has complete authority to fulfill God’s plan and for all of the events of Revelation to play out. For Jesus Himself bore our sins in His body and had to be purified in order to once again save us from our sin. This was God’s doing, out of pure love for humanity. God has given His Son as an offering for all, and to overcome the dragon or Satan that has created the beast and the false prophet. In this battle in the heavenly realm, we see that the dragon, the beast, and the false prophet are doomed. Do not fall into the distractions of the media or entertainment, but understand that in the end, there will be many obstacles to overcome in order to see clearly. The news only goes so far. Instead, use the Bible as your source of discernment. For Jesus now brings with Him the power of fire upon the earth. He will extinguish all of the evil that exists and persists in the world to create a new heaven and a new earth. It is important to recognize that division has already taken place in households. This was part of prophecy and fulfillment of God’s perfect plan in order for all things to be revealed. This has been one of the toughest realizations, but one that is happening now. Religious differences cause a lot of division to take place and individuals must go out on their own in order to fight for God’s cause. They shall seek to enter the gate that God has prepared for them in order to find a place of shelter and assurance. We seek out the fire which has been kindled in order for us to be baptized by the Holy Spirit. That is what Jesus underwent and that is what we are to seek out, to be baptized by Christ.

Truth Reveled By God

Chapter: Fountain of Living Waters {Pages 136 (Behold, I am making all things New..)-140}

READ John 10:6-11. Those who heard Jesus use this illustration didn’t know what he meant, so he explained it to them: “I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. All who came before me were thieves and robbers. But the true sheep did not listen to them. Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures. The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep (J. NLT).

READ Romans 8:38-39. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow-not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below-indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord (J. NLT).

READ Habakkuk 3:2-4. I have heard all about you, Lord. I am filled with awe by your amazing works. In this time of our deep need, help us again as you did in years gone by.

And in your anger, remember your mercy. I see God moving across the deserts from Edom, the Holy One coming from Mount Paran. His brilliant splendor fills the heavens, and the earth is filled with his praise. His coming is as brilliant as the sunrise. Rays of light flash from his hands, where his awesome power is hidden (J. NLT).

Jesus reminds us that the entrance into him, through his body, is the gate for the sheep. We must acknowledge this during the second coming of Christ to fully understand how we may enter the kingdom of God and go back and forth from heaven to earth during the final days. During the final days and for all of time, this is how people have entered the kingdom of heaven, by walking into his body. We also are brought into an understanding that he has awesome power to protect the sheep that enter by the gate. In his hands glows radiance and power! We are to know that nothing can separate us from him, especially during the final days. Not demons, nor fallen angels, nor the devil himself can keep us from Jesus. He provides a light and a path for us to be hidden from all evil and the world without God. This dwelling place is our home and our fortress. Do not allow worries to keep you from God, for fear and anxiety is caused by the adversary. Do away with worry and overcome your fears.
