Truth Revealed By God
Chapter: Chief Shepherd (Pages 88-92)
READ Revelation 3:7-8. And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: He who is holy, who is true, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, and who shuts and no one opens, says this: I know your deeds. Behold, I have put before you an open door which no one can shut, because you have a little power, and have kept My word, and have not denied My name (NASB).
READ 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12. …and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth as to be saved. And for this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they might believe what is false, in order that they may all be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness (NASB).
READ Ezekiel 1:4-10. And as I looked, behold a storm wind was coming from the north, a great cloud with fire flashing forth continually and a bright light around it, and in its midst something like glowing metal in the midst of the fire. And within it were four figures resem- bling four living beings. And this was their appearance: they had human form. Each of them had four faces and four wings. And their legs were straight and their feet were like a calf’s hoof, and they gleamed like burnished bronze. Under their wings on their four sides were human hands. As for the faces and wings of the four of them, their wings touched one another, their faces did not turn when they moved, each went straight forward. As for the form of their faces, each had the face of a man, all four had the face of a lion on the right and the face of a bull on the left, and all four had the face of an eagle (NASB).
READ Isaiah 14:12-15. How you have fallen from heaven, O star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, you who have weakened the nations! But you said in your heart, I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God and I will sit on the mount of the assembly in the recesses of the north. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High (NASB).
As we read these scriptures, we come to recognize that He, who holds the key to David, is the one who has access to the kingdom of God. This is the gate for the sheep and the entrance to our new life with Christ as our King. For He is the offspring of David and the Bright Morning Star. For those who believe in His name, there is salvation and glory awaiting them. God also tests those that have denied His Son and does not distribute clarity but allows them to believe in false religion. For these are those who shared in evil works and acts of deception!
In Ezekiel, we see where God paints a picture for us to recognize His absolute authority and His creation. This image portrays the power of God and how He can create the most powerful of beings. I believe that this image also connects us to the New Jerusalem and Jesus. In Isaiah, we see where God has made it clear what happened during the fall of Satan or Lucifer. He deceived the nations and brought chaos as opposed to peace and truth. He also beheld himself above the Holy angels which have the power to save and protect God’s chosen people. We must be aware of false prophets and those that wish to destroy, as the son of the dawn is the son of destruction. Remember that the son of the dawn has been in control up until this point, but now it is time for Jesus to take over all things and to conquer the great destroyer and deceiver.
God’s Secret: Disclosing God’s Hidden Truths of the Bible
Chapter: Lord Of Glory (Pages 36…-“37”)
READ Mark 13:24-29:
But in those days, after that tribulation, the Sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then He will send forth the angels, and will gather together His elect from the four winds, from the farthest end of the earth, to the farthest end of heaven. Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender, and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near. Even so, you too, when you see these things happening, recognize that He is near, right at the door. (J.NLT)
“The truth that Jesus brings cuts through all literature and determines the course of this world. The truth that will be revealed at his coming will be more powerful than any earthly individual. (Key point) It will be hard for many to hear, but a saving grace for all of those who have followed God and put their trust in Him. It is important to not be divided, but to become one body united in Christ. Do away with all false literature and focus on the truth. Look for the wisdom that Jesus brings.”
